    exactly why ive been so picky

    My guess is someone was sick around him and he had the bacteria in his lungs waiting for a way in. Then when they drained his body of excess fluid or some procure where they break his skin barrier, it opened up a way for the bacteria (or what ever is was) to get into him.

    He was on some pretty serious immune system meds so his body does not reject the lungs so it pretty much becomes a double edge sword where you go off the meds and risk a rejection or you stay on and risk a big infection. It is a pretty unfortunate situation.
