Haha I'm glad I got the GoPro, gives me a good reason to do more stuff outdoors.

I know a few kids who have em. They love em. I think they'd be cool to suction to the side of the truck through some trails and what not

My luck, I'd do that, it'd fall off somehow and I would lose it...

Haha as long as it's on a clean surface you'll be fine. Plus it has a feature the allows you to make it beep really loud if you lose it. So worst case you have to go back down the trail listening for it.

    How do you like it?
    What model did you get?
I'm probably gonna be getting a hero3 silver in the next few days.

Trust me, these things are tough! It might have a few scratches but that's about it.

I really like it! It takes a little while to figure out what settings and mounts is best for different situations. Like I used the head strap for mountain biking today, but it was way too shaky so I'm going to have to go back to the bike mount. I'm going to try the head strap kayaking tomorrow.

I got the Hero3 Black Edition.

I figured that I might as well get the best one. Plus you pretty much save money in the long run. The remote would be great for when you have it mounted outside your truck or when it's out of reach.

I haven't used the remote much yet because I use my phone, but for long trips I'll use it so I don't kill my phone battery.

My only complaint so far is the battery life.

That's good you like it, it sounds like you'll be getting more use from yours than I will mine, I'd only use it hunting and riding the quads, and take it on the boat for when we have a fish on that can fight.

I thought about the black edition, but for me it doesn't make sense to spend the extra 100 (especially after my parents started questioning me on why I needed a 300$ camera), but I will be getting a battery BAC PAC, so I can record all of my riding, I ordered a helmet mount off of Amazon and it should be getting here sometime soon.

Yeah, I'm tempted to get the Bac Pac. But I need to stop spending money...

I've used it for hiking and mountain biking so far. Plan to go kayaking tomorrow and might go trail riding Sunday.

I gotta to, I ordered 70 bucks worth of accessories on Amazon, and I still have to pay mom and dad for my iPhone bill, and a knife I bought for a buddy, and after that pay for a gopro, did I mention I don't have a job?
On a plus side, I haven't spent any money on my truck lately.

I have the money, it's just a lot! Haha I'm going to record a lot tomorrow and see how long it lasts.

I need to order a suction cup mount too, that's the only mount that the local store doesn't have.

    Hah :)

    BTW

Here's the latest video from today... Youtube is still doing the final edits on it, but here it is before stabilization...

This was with the head mount. Obviously it's not very good for rough trails. Look like I'm sticking with the bike mount for trails. I'm going to try using the head mount tomorrow while kayaking and see how it goes.

    Just a little. :)

Only got a little edgy on a few...

Some of the dirt mounds I hit had really loose rock on the other side. There's one where I just land off in the rocks and I thought I was gonna wipe out. This is definitely one of my new favorite things to do!

My cheap Wal Mart Mongoose bike can barely handle it! Haha

I plan to go down that trail again soon using the bike mount to get better video.
