This long weekend so far I painted and bedlined my rear bumper, painted my skid plates, debadged the tailgate and doors, removed the body side moldings, and washed my truck. Tomorrow my rock sliders and front bumper will be welded. The most successful 4 days I've had in a long time!

    Went hiking today.

I fell and caught it on the GoPro. I've been down this cliff 3-4 times before and somehow I busted it this time. Luckily I flipped myself over on the edge of a boulder and landed in the river on my feet. Would've been a 5 feet fall onto rock if I wouldn't have caught myself...

My shin and wrist are killing me now...

I used goof off. It works alright but some of the foam adhesive stuff I could just pull off with my hand. Then hit it with some polishing compound to the blend the paint, then wax.

Haha I was fine for quite a while! Then 2 hours later I didn't feel so good.... I had a headache and was sick to my stomach on and off throughout the day. I'll make a short video of it real quick and post it. You'll see how lucky I was that I was able to twist around and land on my feet!

I guess I have an interesting story to tell....

Some of the people I hang out with wanted to drive up this dirt road that goes up a mountain and has a lot of twists, so 3 people drive up there. I didn't for good reasons...

So one of my friends, Ski, who has a 2013 Silverado likes to try to slide around turns. The first dirt road turn we get to, she over corrects and we go sideways about three times like this: _/\/\_

Unfortunately it was right before I turned on my GoPro.... :(

We get to the stop sign, then one of the other guys stops behind us, the other comes flying around the corner and has to slam on his brakes an go sideways to keep from hitting the other guys truck and ends up like only a couple of feet from the truck.

After that nonsense we went up to the dirt road we came to drive on and both of the other guys were sliding around corners way too fast and crashing through limbs and branches in their brand new Ford F150 and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

We come to another stop and some people get in other peoples' vehicles and once we got going again the two drivers in the Ford and Jeep come flying around a corner and drive almost directly into a tree/dirt wall.

Very interesting drive to say the least! This was the reason I chose not to drive my truck. Unfortunately I got none of it on video because the GoPro was facing forward the whole time... I need two now Haha

Thats why teens should buy their own vehicles. If your parents pay for your vehicles you show it now respect and trash it

Sounds like a lot of people I know. I'm not for that sliding around turns and what not. Got close enough to dying and flipping as it is

Yeah, I don't even ask them how they afford them. I don't know if their parents just have really good credit and cosign for them, if their parents buy it, or if they're always broke.

I pay for it all by myself, hence why my truck payment is so much with my interest rate...

I'm at the limit of my comfort zone on vehicle payment for a $12,000 truck let a lone a $38,000 truck like the Silverado! She makes the same I do as well...

That too haha probably a lot safer for me as well! But then I can't video it if I'm in the back and driving... Haha

Agreed, I do it very slightly on flat areas where I know if something were to go wrong and went off the road, no damage would be done.

I warn them of the possibilities, but I still ride along for the fun. If they wreck, it's their vehicle not mine! :)

Hence why I like to go crazy fast on a mountain bike, if I wreck that I still have a vehicle to drive. ;)

True, my parent's paid for my first truck and I loved it. But I also paid for everything that went into it after it was bought.

I know some people who's parents bought them vehicles, and they used it just for driving. Nothing more.
