I can find xd 45s for 500-550 but when it comes to the compact the price skyrockets

That is a true statement!! I Like the kimber solo carry but it's like $815 I can pay that for a sub compact 9mm!

 

I use to have a boner for kimber then I started shooting other 1911s and I wasn't that impressed anymore. If I was gonna spend 800-850 im buying an hk

 

springfield makes wonderful 1911's especially for the price, you can sometimes find the Range Officer at gun shows for around $700, best money you will ever spend on a gun.
