Doesn't matter if it was one Dinar bill or a few Dinar bills. They disobeyed regardless.

I'm not delving into a political discussion (I hate politics) but just making a point. There are bigger problems.

 

Changing the subject, but nowhere did I say that was the right thing to do either.

Do I agree with his actions, no. But you and I don't know what steps are being taken to keep track of those people. I'm not worried about what those 5 terrorists will do. We should be more worried about how this makes us look as a country. Weak.

Back to the previous subject. Comes down to following law and respecting the deceased. Do they deserve to die if they harming what the U.S. stands for, yes. Do they deserve to be robbed after death, no.

Just because the president doesn't follow his own laws doesn't give everybody a reason to disregard other laws put in place by other entities.

I highly doubt the Taliban particularly care for or follow LOAC anyway.

There is a guy at the gym I go to who use to tell me a bunch of stories when we were the only ones in the spin room


Things like firing a rocket into a building for 1 high value target just to have a bunch of men, women and children to run out with lost limbs, bloodied and/or on fire. Then the higher ups dehumanize the innocent by calling them only collateral and justifies it by saying we got a terrorist.

He said you will never forget the smell of burning flesh, and every time he smelled it there would be a body or someone on fire.

Stumbling upon someone who has been mutalated and he or someone else would put them out of their misery

He survived a helicopter crash (which ended his military career) and something (he thought a blade) sliced through his shoulder, straight through the bones and all. He has a scar that encompasses about 300* on his shoulder from top to bottom from where surgeons reattached arm, but he has mobility issues with it and now he has PTSS and freaks out when he hears helicopters or fast moving air escaping from something (like a tire).

He said he just broke the surface with me, he moved out of the area while I was at school. That kind of stuff will change someone.

There is actually a Veteran's Hospital about 30 minutes from me and I was going to email their PT department and see if they are looking for any interns or something.

Nope, I'm sure 99% of them don't. But, somebody needs to provide at least a small amount of humanity and respect in all of this. If we don't, then what makes us any better than those groups that don't?

I know it's not easy to talk about it, and I was very surprised when the guy told my uncle (who he had never met before), and everyone else at the table, about what happened.

Some things should just go in the WTF thread.

Thankfully I've never seen anything like that and hopefully never will, those are the kind of events that you just don't forget.

It would be cool to be an intern but I wouldn't know what to say.

If somebody is attacking you, defend yourself. Done. No need to steal from them after the fact.

War sucks. No other way about it. When your going after somebody that has planted IED's in the past and kill them, you're done. You've prevented them from causing further harm in the future. Doesn't mean you should steal from them after they're dead.

Morals play a large part in this I guess. Just seems natural to me. But, even if you don't have those morals, that's what the Law of Armed Conflict is for. To provide laws on what our limits are when in battle. From mutilation, stealing, unnecessary destruction, protected buildings, and many other things.

In the end if you don't want to follow the rules that are set in place for a reason, get out. Please. I don't ever want to work alongside people like that.

Tracking said my address and then Columbia, MO below that, which is an hour East of here. It got to Columbia early this morning and has now left and is out for delivery. Maybe it is actually getting shipped to the on base post office
