If i would have lived at home and went to the cc before the 4year....I would not have needed to take out loans and would be 30k+ and not 30k-

 

Same. I use the cc for gas and pay it off every month just to earn extra points. Other than that my only debt is truck and motorcycle loan. Which the truck I'm paying extra every month already.

 

I only put 25% of income into my checking, the rest goes to savings

Which gets roufg when the uni forgets to pay me

You know you're living the life when you eat instant ramen with two broken plastic knives because you can't afford to buy forks

I keep my checking around 200 and throw all my paychecks into savings after I replenish my checking.

I use to get paid once a month, now I get paid every two weeks.

 

Money goes in, close eyes, money goes out haha.

Jk. I have no debt and am doing fine. I just know how to control spending and don't buy excessive shit often. I basicially never go out to eat, so that saves a ton right there

Because then you can retire at 55 and do whatever you want the rest of your life.. Dont put it in a bank.. invest. You will earn so much more money.

 

I agree letting it sit in a savings account is dumb.. Your money should be making you money not just sitting around

 

I believe my money has made me a whopping 17 cents sitting in savings, so I took it all out

 

My FiST is the only car I've had so far that I want to keep a long time. I already want to buy a 2nd one so we can have his and hers.

Right on. I asked because the break in period on the FiST is 1k miles.

 

HOWEVER, do have assets that are very liquid as your just in case fund.

Invest a large percentage of the money you plan to put aside but do have some liquid assets in case you need cash quickly

 

True, I would rather invest it then have it sit in savings, But I would also rather have it in savings than spend it.

 

I have absolutely no idea how to invest, so I just throw a percentage of my pay into my TSP and let them divide it up among accounts haha
