    the problem is everyone thinks they are "responsible" when it comes to debt and cc

    the little economy blip caused how many people to loose their houses and cars? And odds are they blamed the "economy" before they turned to their own financial history/choices.

    This is true. However, if you CAN afford it...
    I put gas, groceries, appliances, etc. (basically all of my purchases that aren't bills) on a credit card. I pay if off every month and haven't had an interest charge applied in the 5 or 6 years that I've had the card.
    A couple of years ago I used the cash back rewards that I'd accumulated to buy a Remington 700 in 7mm Rem Mag.

    Again, it comes back to responsibility. Lots of people don't keep track of what they've bought on their CC in a month, so at the end of the month they're shocked by a huge bill.

    WTF is Destiny?

    I use my cc for gas even though i can use cash or my dc.

    I, or maybe "we", are talking real purchases...."I want a lift/sc/wheels/etc. for my truck but dont have cash so let me take out a loan or use credit"
