nope. solid axle was needed. you literally had to straddle those rocks, and i straddled them perfectly but my front end just didnt move enough to keep me moving. in that pic im sitting on my sliders on both sides, and both front tires are off the ground. everyone else with the articulation of a solid axle got through it ok. both rear tires are in dirt and sand, front passenger was just digging sand and driver was barely touching rock. maybe if I was locked in the front i could have tried to rock and grab with that driver tire, but i dont think that would be enough

If you had bigger tires you wouldn't have hit the sliders. Solid axle lets you get bigger tires. I don't see how having more flex up front would allow you to get down better if boh tires come off at the same time

 

3 of us were on 35s, and the other two were on 37s. the solid axle let them come at the rocks at a slightly different angle, and drop off one at a time, where if I tried to do that there was a good chance of rolling, the guy that went before me was flexed the fuck out stepping off it.

im telling you, I tried multiple times. there is one way to go, and its over the rocks. and if you dont straddle them you just fall off and go in between and off the other side. both times i get over and set up in a good line and i just come down on the sliders and start digging sand.

 

it wouldnt have been even close to enough. you are still limited by the ball joints and cv

eh. idaho is fucking hard dude. heres how our trails are...sand sand and, huge fucking boulders sand sand sand. so you get no traction before or after the obstacle, but you still have to get over and through this shit thats a little slot canyon.


all I wheel with is solid axle rigs on 35s and up. I am certainly the odd man out and it puts it into perspective.

most of the time. i say fuck your jeep i can still do it. but there are those obstacles or line that I dont even try, because I know its just not going to happen

Ben and Chris, I'd recommend Lagunitas IPA, Anchor IPA, and Sculpin IPA. All 3 are pretty good.

she was abducted about 2 or 3 weeks ago about 45 minutes from where I live, in Charlottesville VA...the POS suspect was caught fleeing in Texas about a week ago.

Yeah he's the suspect, I'm not entirely convinced he did it on his own though. at least from the little information they do release
