The only reason I wanted a car is for trips that don't involve off roading/camping. Driving the truck 8+ hours home sucks, but I only do that a few times out of the year.

Now that I have my bike I guess I don't really need a car, because the only time I won't be riding the bike is during Winter weather. Which I'll need the truck for anyways haha

That being said, I might be having to buy a car when the gf moves up here anyways....

    Woot!

I was very lucky in that my truck was an early high school graduation gift, so it's been paid off the whole time.

But either a second gen or a UTV will be getting my money next lol

Because she'll have to buy her car from her parents. It's a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, and depending on what they want for it I may choose to buy a new car instead of paying for something that already has 25,000 miles on it.

All comes down to how much they want her to pay. Which, knowing them, it'll be something like $10,000. I don't know about you, but I don't have $10,000 laying around... Haha
I could have kept my Silverado and had no payments. But I couldn't pass up getting back into a Tacoma.

I'd love having a fourwheeler or side by side. But there isn't anywhere around here to ride to justify it. Someday I'll have one though...

So make her buy a car then :notsure:

Cause i sure as hell wouldn't be buying my gf one.

I could have kept any of my first 3 cars/first motorcycle and not had a car payment but where's the fun in that

I guess I should throw in the fact that she won't be my gf anymore when she moves up here haha which changes everything...

I'll be buying the car but we'll be paying for it. But mostly me I'm sure haha

The main reason I want her to have something different is because I really just don't like the car. Feels cheap, but just depends on how her parents want to sell it. Who knows maybe they'll change they're mind since her sister still drives the car they bought her and she still hasn't paid them for it like she was supposed to 3 years ago.... Haha

If we do have to get her something else, I would prefer to buy new or certified used. If she can afford her own car, then great. But if she's going to be going to school full time I doubt she'll have anything more than a minimum wage job.

It's a hyundai elantra no shit it feels cheap.

As long as it's reliable and gets her from point a to point b and she's happy with it let it be. You're not going to find something better for less money.
