debating between a DHS internship centering on explosives research

I have to do online school. My work schedule is too irregular to allow me to attend a physical class; even evening classes since I'm out of town over night once a week on average with the night usually being different every week.

kinda. been to DC a few times

but generally I try to avoid having to go to the farthest possible place from where I currently live. haha

itd be a summer internship in Rhode Island though

 

I have always been a fan of traveling, if it was me I would go east

 

it pays better and covers travel too

just that it's super specific. any experience I get there will pretty much only be applicable towards DHS-aimed research
compared to research at the cancer center which would be more broad, in case I decide to go a different direction than DHS

(this is assuming my crappyish GPA even gets me in too)

 

I'd say the job security in searching for a cure to cancer is far better than explosives research.

Just a thought.

just talked with my prof and a grad student about doing undergrad research at my uni too, since my prof is doing organic synthesis aimed at cancer applications
