So Oakland here in Cali was on fire last night too. The blacks weren't too happy about the outcome yesterday in Ferguson.

 

People all over protesting in many cities.

What I don't get is why? It won't do anything. It's not how our justice system works. Decision was made, wtf do you think burning buildings is going to do?

 

This is exactly why marriages fail. People can't accept something different than what they think should happen and go bat shit crazy.

A good friend of mine has a gf that nobody can stand, and he always blames her personality/actions on how her parents raised her. He says he can change her, but we all know how that works...



In other news, I apparently screwed up my computer. Decided to restore it to factory because I felt like starting new and getting all the crap off of it. Now it won't switch to my Nvidia graphics card and the internal graphics card can't handle anything more than 360p video.
Looks like I may have to buy a new laptop soon, and this one is only 2 and a half years old

 

No no no you're getting it all wrong. He was an unarmed kid doing nothing wrong at all and got shot for no reason..

He just happened to have an arrest record a mile long including previous burglaries and first degree assault on a female. But theres no way he could have done anything wrong

Did you use the restore disk or just a clean sweep? I'm assuming you have the right drivers for the gpu correct?

 

Mine is like 7 years old I was going to buy a new one but I absolutely hate windows 8.

I did get newer windows 8 laptop from my mom that she wasn't using anymore but I use that purely for video editing.

 

Mine is like 2 and I feel like I need a new one But I agree.. Windows 8 sucks..

 

When you can't even install a program without wanting to throw the darn thing off a cliff...you have some serious software design issues.


And I accidentally deleted something off my editing software that I can only get back by deleting and reinstalling it. I'm scared I won't be able to figure it out again.

I'll probably be getting another Alienware, just have to figure out how I'm going to have it shipped to me as I won't have an address in a few weeks...

I used my Windows 7 disk and the driver disk that came with the computer initially.

Then manually installed the drivers specific to the card. Still nothing.

I downloaded a benchmark program to see if it would run the card. It did but it's throttled down to where it's only able to do 17fps max...

Not looking forward to having to use Windows 8...

I finally found a game that I couldn't run anything but minimum settings on, so it just now got to that point to where I was considering a new computer. But I wanted to wait until next Summer and build myself a desktop. But now that this thing is pretty much done I'm pretty mad...

 

You uninstalled the drivers from the disk before you installed the drivers manually right? Can you see the gpu in device manager?

 

Yes.

I can see both the integrated GPU and the Nvidia GPU.
