Find out if I'm gonna need heart surgery tomorrow. Been lucky the past 3 times with my heart staying the same size but something tells me this time will be different

Yeah no worries. Little freaked out but its a highly successful surgery and regardless I'd say I've lived a good life haha.

And its for a leaky aortic valve. Causes my heart to enlarge and it was about 2mm away from being large enough to have surgery the last 2 times I've gone. So if it has grown anymore I will be looking at surgery within the next 6 months more than likely. If anything I'm hoping to be able to wait until August due to school and work

Hmm sounds more serious typed on a screen than it is in reality I'm sure. My dad is a surgeon pretty sure he specializes in that area...that or it's urology.

Hopefully things turn out for the best for you

Someone school me on cb radio or have a suggestion. I found one thread with a bunch of explanations but still unsure what to get for basic truck to truck talk.

You'll be alright bud. My friend's little brother has been having heart surgery every 2-3 years since he was about 2 years old. He has a valve in his heart that doesn't grow. So, every 2-3 years they cut him open and replace the valve with (another) a larger pig heart valve. He's never had any complications that I've heard of and has grown up as normal as any other kid.

That's reassuring. Yeah I know its a pretty normal surgery just a little freaky as I've never been under the knife before and for a first surgery its a pretty huge one. Several family members/family friends have had the surgery with no complications either so I'm not too worried about it.

    That what you have?

Have a hood mount already. I already understand whats needed but what is actually useful for functionality.

That's what I did have. Had an 18' coax cord as well and had a 1.1:1 ratio.

Then be more specific next time! :p

I don't know what to suggest in terms of radios. My Uniden pro 520xl has worked great so far though.

Highly recommend a heavy duty spring. Anything less will be too weak and bend too easily. I like my 4' Firestik Firefly antenna a lot. Very light and not as thick as the others.

I've had surgery 3 times in my life so far. The first one was when I was 7 years old. I can understand how you feel in terms of being freaked out; especially because it's heart surgery. Heart surgery is becoming pretty routine nowadays, and success rates are pretty high; especially with a "routine" heart surgery like you might require.

Just stay positive no matter what the outcome. Whatever happens will happen. You'll end up just fine bud.
