I'd personally get a pistol, S&W M&P 40, because that's what fits my hand and I shoot best.

If you get a pistol try a bunch of different ones and see what fits YOU best.

    226, I want a 226 but I want a .40 and I want more than 12 rounds from the factory mags.

:spy: You should hook some of us up with that magical discount you've got :spy:

But my vote is Glock. I've had my eye on the Glock 30 for a while and like it over the xd's. I think I'm gonna pick one up this summer.

Call me a glock fan boy if you like. but i Like them over any XD. I have no problem shooting a .40 glock!! I don’t think they are “snappy” like some thing. maybe because it was the 2nd hand gun i ever shot(1st was a .22) I have been shooting a Glock model 22 since i was 10 years old. The model 22 is the model most police departments that carry .40 glocks use.

I have my eye on a model 27(the sup compact .40)

Wanting 9mm, possible carry weapon down the road. Still like the idea of a shotgun, just have been waiting for the right time/ letting myself get used to responsibility associated with firearms. I have been edc'ing a knife for awhile and haven't shot guns in awhile and wanna get back into them. Still between glock and xd 9mm. We will have to see. Thanks for the responses guys.
