Lol after 6 months I think it’s safe to say just about everyone would be a little bitter. I hated dealing with the online applications for the big companies, especially when you think you’re qualified and don’t hear anything back. It’s impossible to figure out what exactly they’re looking for that you don’t have, or you aren’t showing on your resume just quite right.

Exactly. I'm working on a new approach. Having my friend who's in marketing help shape up my resume visually. Trying to use as many connections as I can as well. We will see what happens. Took the job I have now as I needed work and I got to move south like my wife and I wanted. Now though it's more of a curse than blessing lol

I did basically the exact same thing. Sent my resume to the company I’m working for now and never got an interview like six months before I graduated. Then I had my architect girlfriend completely redo my resume and made it 1000x better. Sent it to the same company again and immediately got asked for an interview and then got the job.

So yeah, a visually appealing and easy to read resume can make a huge difference. And networking is huge too, even though I hate dealing with people

Good times, good times. Almost shed a tear when I had an interview for my first “real job” and my gpa wasn’t on my resume and they didn’t even care about it enough to ask
