We had him at gunpoint and told him to get on the ground. My dad is a disabled vet so wasn't planning on rolling around on the ground with him. He walked off and my dad followed him in the truck. The cops saw my dad and he had the guy in sight but the cops drove off in the other direction. We gave descriptions, cops said they never got one. Dispatch said they caught him but in reality they didn't. Among other things. The entire thing was pretty screwed up.

 

even if they wouldve caught him... outcome is the same.

yep. hows that change laurens situation? suspect gets a court date, that he wont show up for, and a fine/restitution he wont pay, and the cops would still be 100% worthless. lose/lose.

 

Maybe, maybe not. But it would be nice if our city cops would actually put some effort into their jobs. 6 of them sat in our parking lot chatting for the next two hours rather than maybe patrolling the area for the guy since they obviously had nothing better to do.

They all seemed like they were new and had no idea what they were doing. Nice enough guys, just clueless. They weren't any bigger than I was too.

 

Depends if charges are filed. Cops can't arrest if they didn't see the crime. They can check if he's on drugs and get him for those though.

 

We had witnesses. One was a tow truck driver and the other was an investigator that worked for the police department. Lol

 

At that point. The court system would be worthless.

is that what i said asshole? if you want to sit here and debate how cops do their jobs, as you do everytime someone brings it up, i can. if you read what i wrote, he would get arrested, and get a court date. which he wont go to. then get a fine/restitution to pay to lauren, which he wont pay. a warrant will be issued, and the same thing will happen over again. then he will move out of state, and since its not a big enough charge, there wont be any extradition. thats how it works. like it or not, you elect the fucking people who make these laws.

 

We gave them exact street information of where I was and where the guy was as my dad was following and they still drove by. I was in an empty parking lot, middle of the day, on my phone with dispatch, cop pulled in about 2 semi lengths away, stopped, I flailed like an idiot at him, and he still missed me and drove off again.

One of the cops said he even saw my dad in the truck (when he had the attacker in sight) but he never came over! We called him out and he was just like "uhh" and walked off.

I'm not bashing cops but honestly, these ones didn't put any effort into it.
