Base models aren't supposed to have an lsd, so if you do it was a rare case. All gauge panels are exactly the same, the don't make gauge panels with different symbols for the different options Tacomas have.

Ohh, that type of lsd. I was thinking of a physical lsd haha

The early 2nd gen sport models had a mechanical LSD in the diff. The later ones have an open diff but apply brake pressure to the tire with less traction to simulate an LSD.

I'm not sure how to definitively test if you have one because I think it's only active when in 4wd, but I could be wrong. You could flex it out in 2wd till a rear tire comes off the ground. If you don't get stuck you have an LSD haha.

Yeah, for the TRD sport. I don't know why they stopped!
Hmm, you sure? I bet the space for it is there. It just isn't active due to you not having the wiring or locker.
The computer applies the brakes to the tire that is spinning to allow more power to go to the tire that is immobile.

I remember when my 4lo actually crawled by itself well.... 33's don't allow it to do that so well though.... Haha

Can't wait to do 35's, 4:88's, and supercharger someday! Haha

Haha I put it in 4hi sometimes just to see what it does on an obstacle. It's funny when you're all the way down on the gas and it doesn't move an inch.
I'm 4:10's as well. 33x12.50x15 km2's on steel wheels. On a flat surface it will pull fine, but none of the trails out here have any flat surface. It's either full of soft sand or rocks.

Yeah the stock ratio is probably fine for most stuff you'll find in Texas.

We had to use the winch to slide thr 4runner over a little so I was working on reeling it back in. When I was trying to unplug the controller he parked it and it rolled forward it and bumped me in the face. notice how low the winch is, why I had to lean over lol

How much you thinking of charging for a HC? and can you make it with a swingout?

Also anyone by chance know what the biggest engine you can stuff into a second gen is? Not worried about weight just size
