I went to a few Ames bars over the summer, they were pretty lax and didn't have a bouncer at the door so I didn't get carded since i didn't buy any drinks.

You can be in them until 10 under 21, 11 if they serve food (in Iowa)

Yup, you can get into the bars at 18 here. What happens in the bar stays in the bar

 

I feel like many college towns are like that... There's a few bars in Lawrence (university of Kansas) where if you're 21 you're too old to be in there haha. Granted you do have to have an ID but it's a joke, I've heard of white girls using a black girls ID.
