Definitely are. He can weave through my legs, does the shoot and play dead as well, all kinds of crazy stuff. I feel ya there. I work 12 hour or more shifts often and occasionally overnight. If my girlfriend and I didn't live together, I wouldn't be able to take care of him like I'd want too. I know that stinks but remember how happy she is with all that land. You did the right thing even though I can imagine how hard it was.

    That's a great write up!!!

I removed the grill on my 2015 for a previous stealth mount led bar, I'm having issues with the grill on the 2017. When you say grab the upper supports and pull straight out, do you mean out toward you or up?

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this on the forums and all the posts I've read. Does it matter what the outside temp is? I only ask because it's a brisk 37 degree day here in RI, I'd like not to break a tab if the plastic is brittle due to the cold.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Anyone have a thread on the Rough Country 30" bumper light bar install? I think this one looks the cleanest in my opinion. But just not excited about the trimming.

    Thanks!

Regarding the grill, pull straight out. There's plastic tabs on the bottom of the grill that need to release. You can also grab from each side to shimmy it and wiggle to help the tabs to release.

I'm not sure if outside temp matters, I'm in Florida so 70s-80s. I wouldn't think so. I've read that others have struggled some and mentioned the cold so maybe that makes it a little harder, not sure.

I just wanted to say thank you! I was able to get the grill off with minimal effort yesterday afternoon. I also found step 9 of your write up incredibly helpful!

I ran out of sunlight and therefore warmth last night working on this. I managed to get the brackets in, but trying to get the screws through the brackets and into the lightbar on those awkward angles was impossible. I should be warmer tonight and if the rain isn't too bad, I should be able to get it done.

Thanks again for the help and the post!

Happy to help! Yeah trying to get the light bar bolts through the brackets and into the light bar is a PITA. In my write-up, I recommended a second set of hands potentially to hold the light bar in position so that you can thread the bolt but also look down through the grill to make sure it's lined up.

Sounds like a potential loose connection. Ensure that the connections to the positive battery terminal and vehicle ground are tight. Also make sure the connections, assuming you used butt connectors, are tight and that the wires aren't wiggling (at connections such as 14AWG connection between light bar and harness and 20AWG connection between harness and switch). If you just used crimp-type connectors, you can wrap them in electrical tape or heat shrink tubing

Fixed it today, lights up when dash lights are on. Didn't need the extra ground. Had to add some extra wire to the green wire to tap in no big deal.

I'm having a real hard time justifying the cost of the Caliraised brackets. Has anyone come up with a better DIY solution? I do understand the importance of a good light mount.

If I wanted 3 switches in here instead of 2 does anyone know the right size switch to make that happen?

I went with the Rago Fabrication mounts and a MicTuning light bar from Amazon and am really happy with everything.

I believe it's the same switches, the tall skinny ones not the shorter fat ones. 1.54" x 0.83" I believe.

    Hey pwalnut
    thanks for the write up!
I was looking at the Amazon bar, and it comes with a harness...why did you order a different harness for you set-up?
