There has been a lot of arguments and bickering here lately. So how about we have some threads that are just for fun. Let's see who can post the screen shot below (shows up when you turn your truck off) and post up the best and the worst 30 mile trip MPG.

Here is mine to start the competition. And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch I do understand that these figures are not real world numbers. This is just for fun and a good laugh.

Remember, let's see your best and your worst. This is my best.

Down a mountain with the wind at your back?

I can't seem to get over 19 and that's without the cruise. With it its around 16. I need to get the TSB done

Here's my contributions from my 2016 DCSB TRD OR AT. The one at 35 mpg was all downhill from Estes park. The others I was convinced something was broken and the display was wrong but when I filled up and manually calculated it was actually accurate.

i should head back to Estes Park to test this downhill bit, after all, my wife and i honeymooned there and it's been a while.

problem is I'll be getting like 12 or 14 mpg up the hill, as in from Texas to Estes lol. or maybe no lol in this case.

For the first 5 miles it was all down hill at 35 miles per hour letting third gear hold me back. Display was reading 99.99 mpg for that stretch. Then it was mixed driving mostly around 55 on fairly flat ground.

Next time I drive back from flagstaff to Phoenix I'll post. It's pretty much down the side of a mountain for 60+ miles

I'll post part of my trip home from central PA next weekend. 78E just out of Harrisburg has plenty of rolling hills that are steep enough to give great speed on the down slope, and low enough to not kill your speed by the time they are crested.

I can't think of a 30 mile stretch in my range that would be all down hill, so this is my best shot I think.

67.7 miles from home to work is all down hill, but the hills are too low and long for any benefit.

I have a 2014 2.7l auto, mine cannot break 23.5mpgs everyday driving, I once got 25 mpgs on the Pennsy turnpike with cruise locked at 65mph it would be welcome and amazing to get over 25mpgs.

You just need the right stretch of road for it, and I guarantee you can beat that.

The PATP is what I travel to work. NE Ext/476 from Quakertown to Plymouth Meeting, then 276 to NJ, and they claim to have no more than 3% grades for the whole entire TP. I believe the steeper slopes are close to the Pittsburgh area, too. This doesn't allow for the best mileage, but I've gotten as well as 26MPG calculated by hand for an entire tank. The 6 mile stretch from my house to the TP along rt 663 is brutal, both ways ... this really hurts MPG's. Perhaps I'll reset my computer to see how well I can do from Q-town to Mid County this week.

A more ideal road, especially a small section can really be taken advantage of as these current posts are showing. I know I can get well over 30MPG on 78E, just have to choose a good segment.
