Due to multiple delays with getting parts, canceled order due to we give up on getting the supplier to get the parts in stock, parts not in stock so I can’t order it, and one mistake on my part measuring wrong, something simple turned into a really long ordeal. Finally getting to installing the last parts, the rear end links.

The fronts I completed about a month ago.

So I open the moog boxes AFTER removing the old rear end links, see what I find. One looks ok. The other is different, designed to fail, both boxes have the same part number.

My pissed off brain can’t decide what to do. Put the old ones back in & return both. Put the crap new ones in & shop for another brand. Dunno.

That’s about right for QC these days.
    Those boots aren’t right.

I’d probably get pissed off, put the old ones back on, and call it “Done” on that project.

Install the good one and leave the other end free. Truck will still be driveable with a greater tendency to understeer at the limit. Take the incorrectly manufactured one back to the parts store for exchange. :notsure:

Thanks guys. Well the parts decided for me. The old ones wouldn’t go back on, damaged threads.

Yea I see that with alot of aftermarket parts, you can have 2 of the same thing and they will be different in one way or another.

Moog's quality on alot of their stuff has declined alot in the past few years because like everything else alot of their manufacturing has been outsourced to China, yours look like they were made in Mexico at least.

Broken already. They didn’t even last a year.

    That sucks!

With all the problems I saw people having with aftermarket "exact replacements", I went with Proforged heavy duty greasables when I rebuilt my front end a couple years ago and I'm glad I did. RockAuto doesn't seem to carry them anymore but if you want I can look up the P/Ns.

:annoyed: That's disappointing. The Moog design showed a lot of promise - nice wrench flats and 20% thicker shaft than stock.

I’d just buy Oem they last longer anyway. The part with the boot that’s not folded is how that was made. They changed them at a point
