I tried the "hand holding" method and drilling at the same time...needless to say I have 1 hold that is offset ...I ended up having to use a clamp.

I painted it white with the duplocolor super white I got from pep boys. It was a Nissan color. Need to pop the dash trim and vents off then unscrew the 10 or so screws that hold that silver bezel on and then remove it from the vent piece via the tabs.

    Thanks JaCado,
Actually I was wondering about the thread size in the middle. To see if the ram ball I already have would thread into that bracket. @FreshMexicanTaco ?

Thanks to @FreshMexicanTaco for making these available and naming me a lucky winner of his generous contest giveaway. Also to @Rob Daman doing his video without using clamps and flatly disregarding personal safety ( LOL ) for drilling holes in his dash, so I ventured forward with minimal confidence and loads of determination.

The install was much easier than expected and was an absolute perfect fit. Pulling the dash bezel out was also much easier than expected. However, the bezel required a little more finesse to put back in due to my own clumsiness. That said, the only "complication" I had was that I have a dash mat installed that covered the DSM location so I had to cut a small hole in that as well. Be careful about where you cut that hole though since it will become a perminant anchor point for the dash mat.

Here are my photos of the install and it looks good with the dash mat!
