The one in the video still looks good. Mech says "the trick is to keep rubbing." I said, "thats what she said".

Yeah me either. I'm out class tomorrow at 1:30. I'll try to get it done. IF I EVEN HAVE BRAKE CLEANER! I'll stop on my way home I guess.

alright, I went out and tried it.
My headlights aren't that bad but there is a little hazing at the top so I sprayed a little (much less than what the guy was using in the video) on a rag and it instantly stuck to the headlight and just fogged it up more as I moved it around. Also it has fine little cracks in the surface like what TRDchris experianced on his brake light.

I used non-chlorinated brake cleaner, don't know if that makes a difference.

Maybe it's a difference in the plastic or maybe I just suck at this (that would be a first ) but I would say just stick to the little headlight restore kits or polishing compound.

Used the 3m kit on my maxima a few years ago. Best results.

Brake fluid works better and isn't as harsh as brake cleaner......I would definately recommend brake fluid

I used a kit a few years ago that had a clear coat like spray that you used after then polished again. worked wonders and the clear coat kept it from yellowing again.

Another thread recommended scratch remover. Found some in the garage, figured it couldn't be a waste.

    Here's a before and after:

I have but you have to use very little brake cleaner because It can crack your headlights and you will only get results if your lights are a little hazy....wont work if there too hazy

For those looking for a cheap alternative to expensive repair kits, Harbor Freight has one. It comes with drill mounted micro abrasive pads, foam polisher, polish. It costs $10 and takes about 10 min from start to finish. It worked pretty good on my headlights. If you do buy it, i recommend mask taping around the headlights so you dont sand your paint/chrome. Time will tell wether its a good product or not. I wish I would have known about the toothpaste method, I would have tried that first:facepalm:
