Thank you. I really appreciate that. I purchased this truck 5 years ago at 289K and it's been great. General maintenance for this mileage that I documented pretty well in the link in my signature. I do have a small dime size oil leak if parked overnight but I never have to add oil between changes every 6k miles. Very happy with the truck.... especially since I average ~20mpg.

My '04 TRD 4x4 crossed 300k last night. I purchased it new. It has the WE199 Tundra front brakes I installed when I replaced the original brake rotors. At the same time I installed Wheeler brake lines front and rear, OME 881 springs up front and the Wheeler 3 leaf pack added to the rear. Billstein 5100 shocks with the springs at zero lift. Front and rear hitches to carry bikes & tow a motorcycle trailer. Motor and trans haven't been taken apart. Aside from the scheduled consumable maintenance items, I've had to replace an airbox, MAF, Cats & sensors, radiator, steering rack, tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, three cv axles, drive shaft, 4wd actuator, an alternator, and the valve cover gaskets. It needs a drivers seat rebuild and the 4runner rims repainted. The truck is still my daily driver and does duty to Mammoth and Baja.

Crossed the 300000 mark last September while out on some forest service "roads" in the Mendocino NF. If you look close enough you can see it parked on the hill over the lake, on the day we crossed 300kPXL_20230917_011822881.jpg 300k_sm.jpg

new to TacomaWorld, came across a 95.5 with the 2.7liter 4 banger auto trans 4x4 for a DAMN good price, had 308,xxx when I bought it currently sitting at 337,xxx. was mildy worried because the oil filter was dated 2018.... had to replace the valve cover because it was dumping oil on the manifold, put usual brakes and tires on it, flushed transmission with filter replacement, gear oil changed, fuel filter changed, inner and outer tie rods. truck dropped what looked like the factory 95 Denso fuel pump around 320,xxx. completely stock engine/trans and suspension. Truck runs great, transmission has been great, rear leafs are toast but I guess that is a common thing on these trucks ? no crazy noises until here recently and I found out the front hubs are the culprit but only makes noise when they are unlocked. Full suspension replacement with coilovers and maybe 33" pizza cutters when my tires are expired. Love this little truck tho

It’s amazing how these old trucks just want to run forever.

2004 Tacoma pre-runner, 2.7L just joined the club early this morning! Pissed I missed it by 28 miles lol! Bought it with 160,000 on it, only issue I’ve had has been the Evap/emissions charcoal filter going bad, have yet to replace it. That and two ignition coils. Regular oil changes and that’s pretty much it.
