I'm creeping right up on 300K and doing a little work on the truck. I was going to half ass it thinking I'll sell it soon but now I've changed my mind again and I'm thinking I'll keep it for a while. I badly need to do an A/C overhaul and valve cover gaskets so I'm going at least as deep the that. Wondering what else I should be thinking of with this mileage. Truck is a 2000 Prerunner 3.4

Here's my list at it stands, plus what I've done to it already:

    To Do:
    A/C:
New compressor, condenser, expansion valve, dryer. Flush evaporator.

    Valve Cover etc:
    Gaskets
    Camshaft seals
    Spark plug tube seals
    Check valve clearances
    New PCV and hose
    Spark plugs and wires

    Past Work:
    All suspension components
    Steering rack
    Leaf springs
All ball joints (LBJ probably due again soon actually)
timing belt and water pump at 250k

What else would you be thinking about? Truck runs great no issues that I've notices and only code is a P0420 that it's had the entire time I've owned it.

Would love to get some thoughts on injectors - I'm not someone who really likes working on the truck so I'm really considering replacing them all while I have the plenum off but I'm not getting any misfires and codes and that's like $400 so I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I start get reactionary with maintenance after a certain point. Fix leaks and what not, but don't replace anything that isn't broken.

Valve covers and tune up is great, but why dump so much money into the AC system unless it had something catastophic occour.

Ball joints I consider every 10-15 years on these trucks, they let go without reason, so its not a bad idea.

AC is completely dead, it needs for sure a new compressor or expansion valve, likely both. Getting to the expansion valve is enough of a pain in the ass that I might as well do the evaporator since its out and have to do the dryer of course so at that point it's only a couple more parts to replace the whole system. I could possibly save a couple hundred bucks by doing the compressor and then the expansion valve but it's also leaking in a couple spots, I'd just rather do it once and be done with it than waste time and refrigerant trying to chase down the problems.

Maybe add throttle body cleaning and some fluids (diff, trans, brake, coolant).

Oh yeah thanks good call, I've gone thru a couple radiators so that's all good but diff is definitely due again and I've never flushed the brakes
