No, this isn't another one of those "I just got my new rig, check me out" posts - I want to give some solid feedback on some of the concerns folks have posted.

Picked up the 2016 PreRunner Barcelona DCSB with JBL premium this Sunday, have put on 300 miles since.

    Someone asked about the headlights.
    LED DRL's with fog lamps:
    Headlights with fog lamps:
Out on the road, the car in front had lights that were barely visible:

There were comments about hunting of gears on the highway. I can concur, somewhat. Phoenix-area folks will be familiar with the ups and downs of the US60 east of I10. At 65 MPH, there is switching from 6th to 5th going up the hills to maintain; at 70+ that is gone.

That somewhat ties in with the ECT PWR function - with this engaged, the engine doesn't drop below about 1900 RPM. This seems to be where the engine has enough torque to maintain the speeds desired. I would say the ECT PWR function is useless when maintaining any speed, but does add a bit when needing to get up and go from a stop.

The JBL system gets another thumbs-up from me. While the overall volume number is higher than in my previous Taco ('11 DCSB PR V6 with JBL), the bass adjustment to get as loud or louder is lower. This does seem to provide a cleaner sound.

All-in-all, this is a great improvement, and it seems Toyota did a great job.

It's actually really hard to get a pic in daylight with a phone because of the rolling shutter issue, this is the best I could get. The light goes all the way around the outside. They are noticeable, but not super bright.

Sam, you have the premium & tech package, right? So your DRL's are different than trucks without the package?

I do not have the premium and tech package. The LED DRL's are standard with the TRD package

In the auto setting they are, but I'm pretty sure in the next click up it leaves them off while everything else is normal.

There is a setting within the radio touch screen vehicle settings to enable or disable the DRLs
