    For the same money you could probably drop in a 3ur-fe and 6 speed transmission. And have 381hp and 401 ft/lbs.

    I, personally, would rather go the turbo route. I've seen homemade turbo kits for the 5vz make 380-400rwhp. Although this engine, with a lower compression ratio plus turbo, could probably make 500+.

    I realize the 2JZ is easier/more affordable to mod but.... that's because people went ahead and paved the way when there were no products available. Same with the 5vz or any engine.... if you build it, the price will drop, and they will come.

    Hm interesting. At some point in the next few years my motor will get pulled for a freshen up and wanted to get LC to do heads and cams. Should go nicely with my current mods, just don't want that much compresion.

    There 22re's run anywhere from $3500 to $7500. They dont offer a 5vzfe motor yet on there site, just heads. Go to LCE performance.com.
