315/70/17 right here. Still have a lot of hammering to do and a little more trimming. It is a lot of work

About to jump into this with 315-70 r17 myself. I would do just about anything to avoid the snorkel. Has anyone figured out an alternative?
As a side note, has anyone noticed a huge difference between 315 E rated vs. 315 C rated?

With a true 3” over stock height, and some good bumpstops you can fit 315/75/16’s without cutting the fenders.

This is full stuff up front and the only place it rubbed at full lock was about mid way up the back of the wheel well and a BFH handled that.

Thanks. I got 17s and I'm looking at about a 2 to 2.5 lift with icon cdv control. Was planning on keeping the stock bump stops.
What do you consider quality bump stops?

Don't they have an armless snorkel? In other words a lead to a plastic vent on the outside of the quarter panel? Seems to me that would solve the problem mostly.

DuroBumps are quality. I’d recommend them over wheelers superbumps any day.

Don’t think there’s any armless snorkels. You’d probably have to fab something.

2-2.5” isn’t going to let you run anything larger than a 285 and I would seriously reconsider dumping money into anything Icon. It’s cheap crap, spend your money on quality suspension like ADS or Radflo, King if you want be like the rest of the fanbois on here.

305/70/17 open country ATs on dirty life mesa (4.5” backspacing, 9” rim width). Still running stock UCAs, got a ~2.5” Bilstein 5100 + OME 886 lift in the front, and 5100 + AAL in the back netting ~2” lift.

To fit these: Flattened the pinch weld, cab mount chop, and cut the lower corner of the fender near the cab mount. I don’t feel like that’s much work in order to fit these tires, took me about 3 hours (about 45 mins of that 3 hours was cutting plates to close the CMC).

Haven’t taken it wheeling yet, but so far on paved road and semi-violent logging road no rubbing whatsoever. I didn’t think I would clear my UCAs with only 4.5” BS, but I’ve got about a half inch between them and the tire’s sidewall. I’m convinced this is the perfect tire size.

DISCLAIMER: I expect to do more trimming as I flex the suspension more over the next couple weeks. Totally worth it though, IMO.

    - Any updates on rubbing?
    - Are those aftermarket fender flares? Did you have to trim those?
    - What kind of headlights and are you happy with them? How long have you had them?

    Thanks!
