Hello everyone, I have a 2013 2.7L manual transmission 4x4 and have been following the write ups on this site to complete the maintenance and I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything properly.

Rear differential - I drained it and pumped in just a tiny bit over 3 quarts of redline 75w90 gear oil before it began to spill out the fill hole. I let it leak out and then put the full plug back in.

Transfer case - same procedure with redline mt-90 and I put in just over 1 quart.

Manual transmission - same procedure with the redline mt-90. It took around 2.5 quarts.

Is this the proper procedure for these? Also since I paid quite a bit for the redline fluids can I leave them in for a lot longer than just another 30k? I still have to do the front diff, but if this all looks good then I'll just follow the same procedure.

You're a little overfilled, but don't worry about it. It may puke out the breathers but it won't hurt anything other than making a bit of nastiness.

Toyota's spec'd fill volumes in the owner's manual are bullshit. It states 1.59qt for the front diff in a 4x4 and mine always begins leaking out the fill hole at about 1.4qt; same thing for the rear diff, the manual specs 3.2qt, I've never been able to get past 3 without it barfing back out the fill hole. My T-case has generally taken about 1 qt.

As for your change schedule that depends on usage. Are you driving a glorified Camry or do you actually do truck things? My rig sees frequent offroad action and occasional towing, so I do the driveline fluids every 2-3 years or 15,000 miles, whichever comes around first.

Actually it was really easy. I just drained and filled it. Using the pump can be pretty messy if you're not careful though.

I don't tow anything, but I do like to get off road now and again.

That all there is to it, drain and fill, wait till it drips out and cap it. You should check to see what redline says about intervals. 30k, 60k ect is what the manufacture recommends with dino fluids.
