Here is my take on Jerry's situation....
Don't worry about prop shaft bolt torque specs...

I read a shit lot more than I write here on the site,...
I am both a tech and a technical trainer,...so it takes lots to impress me.

What I have found so far is that,...these trucks are basicaly built with Tundra size parts,...for a truck 3/4 its size!
So if you keep the oils clean, drive it like you care about it, not like you hate it,...
Chances are you're gonna get the odo 2 or 3 times around the 100k mark...

Treat it with a little care,...spend a few pesos....the wife will be pissed and jelous...truck will last double...

If you would be kind enough to share some knowledge... Are there any stock parts you’ve found weak like the needle bearing or the cab mount bushings people seem to complain about?

Your dealer does a 'synthetic oil' change for $30?

Yea, Toyota has made their reputation on vehicles that blow up beyond 60k miles.

For their bottom line and profits they want you to make it to 60k miles, that’s it.

If the drivetrain blows up before 60k they pay for it. After that, you pay for it. Which do you think they prefer?

There’s plenty of drivetrain issues beyond 60k (majority owner neglect) and Toyota is no exception.

My point is they want to get you to 60k miles as cheap as possible.

I think they prefer a reputation of cars that a last for 100’s of thousands of miles, not just 60k. There is more value in their reputation of reliable cars which helps sell cars to repeat customers. There is no conspiracy to design cars that fail after a warranty ends.

Yah that’s less than the cost of the oil. Usually it’s $60-$80

Mobil 1 is around $22 or $23 for a 5 Quart Jug at Wal-Mart and they have a $12 Rebate so you can do an oil change on the cheap.

The Manual recommends 60k so I would say you are due.

I checked mine with my torque wrench set to 65lbs. There is 16 bolts I believe on a 4x4. I did mine without any special crows foot adapters. Stock height. It was a pain and a squeeze but I got it done

Also, if your driveshaft has grease fittings, make sure you grease them.

Okay so I got another question. When the manual says "inspect", do they mean just check the level? Or actually check for metal/contaminants? I feel like to check for the latter you pretty much have to drain it. In which "inspect" just turns into replace. I don't do any heavy off-roading so I just want to inspect some of the fluids, such as the front and transfer case. Am I just checking the level here?

Yes, visual inspection. Check the level. Look further ahead, you'll see when it recommends replacing
