    Anyone have a link/info on what is involved in a 30K service for a 2014 4x4 V6?

How much should I expect to pay from a dealer?

You should have a maintenance manual that came with the truck. In the same folder as the user manual. 30k will be oil, plugs, front and rear diff change, air filters, and inspections.

The dealer wanted like 300 bucks just to change out the fluids (front, rear, transfer) for my 2013.
Add the plugs I bet they would try to fleece over $750 for this "service".
But that floor mat would be professionally checked!

Yeah I would imagine around 700 bucks for a 30k scheduled service interval. Honestly it would cost you about 125 bucks in oil/parts and for a novice mechanic a days time if you have all the tools

Overall everything needed is easy to do. You also don't have to do everything at once. Diffs and transfer case change all together is about 1.25-2 hours. Oil change .75 hour. Engine air filter and cabin filter can be changed while fluids are draining. Spark plugs are about 1-1.5 hour. You can also start spark plug changes while waiting for fluids to drain out.

I was just quoted $325 for the 30K service. I did the work myself.

I would bet that the $290 quoted above for the 30k service is purely for an oil/filter change and changing the plugs and 'inspecting' the rest. I doubt they are actually draining the diff or transfer case oil for that price. Toyota fluids are pricey, too. I believe the manual only calls for an inspection at 30k unless you are towing heavy.

Don't forget the all important induction system and/or fuel injector service for $199 - the Service advisor will swear that your truck will explode without that.

Which is exactly what I did a week ago. We've all heard the saying that "if I can do it, anybody can". Well, I REALLY mean it when I say it. I am far from mechanically inclined. But, with the help of this site, I have begun my own maintenance and, I gotta say, I feel pretty damned good about it.

On a side note, I took my truck to Wally World this past weekend to have my tires rotated (think I'm going to attempt that next time) as well as a lube job. When I picked my truck up I just happened to check out the receipt and noticed that the "technician" had noted that there were no grease fittings. So, I immediately questioned the guy who was cashing me out and there was another "technician" standing there who then said "oh, no, we checked and it's a sealed system and there were no fittings." I said, "first of all, I know there are because I have greased them myself in the past. And, secondly, if there aren't any grease fittings, that would suggest you didn't grease anything, so why have I been charged for it?" They refunded my $4.25.

My point is that this is the type of bullshit that makes me more determined to do my own maintenance.

Maybe I mis-read it, but I could have sworn that the maintenance manual that came with my 2015 says that diff/transfer oil change is only necessary at 30k if frequently operated on dirt roads, or regular towing...

If I'm wrong then I need to do it...

I do both, so I change the rear at 30k religiously. The front is always turning, but not under a load and you can stretch that one a bit. I'd do the first one on time though.

This. The toyota brand diff lube is 30-40$ a quart, that price quoted likely does not include this service.
