I read an article about why Hollywood is mainly doing remakes and sequels. It's about reminding us of The Good Old Days while the reset of the world is falling to shit. We are more willing to spend money on shows/movies that remind of us our childhood than something new.

I'd rather see something new, than a remake. Some remakes are really good though (Gone in 60 Seconds), and some are just bad (Point Break). I would think watching the original would better remind us of our childhood.

I saw the trailer for the new Ghostbusters today. I have to admit, shit looks pretty funny. I wasn't sure what I'd think of it. I am a fan of Leslie Jones on SNL.

Yeah. I'm torn because it's Ghostbusters. But that line up should be pretty funny. I'm disappointed that they didn't somehow work in the original Ecto 1. That vehicle is bad ass.

I watched the new Total Recall because Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Beal. The one that really irks me is the rumor of the remake of Big Trouble in Little China starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

There's not many original ideas floating around Hollywood these days.

The Rock got togehter with Kurt Russell and others from the original to ask if it was OK and whatnot....which I respect totally....but come on!!!! These remakes and shit aren't bringing back the good times of my youth...there pissing me off when I'm watching some of these and the whole time saying "what the......fuckkkk" ..It takes the fun out of it.

They try remaking Stand By Me, or The Monster Squad or any more of my childhood faves, i'll just lay down on the railroad tracks.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
The only thing on the trailer they didn't show is where the originals all play in the movie. They said they will be in it, just not where. I am not sure if it is a movie I will be willing to see in the theatres or not. Then again, I rarely go out to see them these days. Damn this marriage and kids thing.

Great list. Playing as a kid was even harder for me as I didn't have an allowance and my parents aren't gamers like I am for my kids. If I went to the arcade it was by myself or with friends.

Surprised Prince hasn't been brought up in this thread.

Heard the F word for the first time on cassette tape from him. It was my older sisters tape that I "borrowed" and me and my buddy rewound that part over and over again. Giggling like little school girls. I was maybe 5 or 6 yo at the time. LOL.
