Only 2? I would have expected something like "I stayed up all night and watched all the episodes. It was amazing. I can't wait for season 2."

LOL. I wish. With kids and needing sleep, it's just not in the cards for me.

Finished Stranger Things. Loved it. My wife was really into it too. Looking forward to season 2.

This is more of a '60s kid thing, but I discovered Thunderbirds in the '90s and was mesmerized. I always loved filming with scale models like the old mega-monster movies. I used to watch Thunderbirds at my grandparent's house and built my own T-Birds with Legos. The series has been rebooted, is filmed in New Zealand, still utilizes scale models with the help of CGI. The reboot carries on the tradition of heavily detailed sets, blockbuster style story lines, and over the top music. The series is decent entertainment for parents and kids; especially if you were into the original Thunderbirds. There's also merchandising, so kids no longer have to build their own Tracy Island and Thunderbirds. My kid is earning each Thunderbird by good efforts at school, home, and sports. The show is available on Amazon Prime:

I prefer the old one. Now it just looks like a Rescue Heroes movie. It doesn't quite have the same feel.

The networks are really mining their classics the last few years. I see there's a MacGyver reboot now too.

Same. But it's good to share a mutual fandom with my kid.

We'll see a Happy Days and an Andy Griffith reboot next, at this rate.

Fortunately, it's unlikely that the Cosby Show will get the reboot. Too far?

They probably tried to run with it, but it got shot down.

The Lethal Weapon TV show looks terrible. They also plan on remaking Jumanji.

The big problem is that people will pay to watch the regurgitated garbage that studios put out. I wish studios were more willing to take a risk and put in production some shows and movies that are original and creative. But there really isn't a reason to do so when they can spit out another movie about vampires and zombies and werewolves having romantic relationships with human beings.
