Don't get too excited! 30 hurts! No lie, New years before last (Jan1 before I turned 30 in April) I woke up after a very mild new years eve. Wearing a pair of Under Armour sweats I had just gotten for Christmas a few days before...going down a flight of hardwood stairs, the new pants got caught up under my heel and I go heels above my head 7 steps from the bottom. Land square on my back on the final 2-3 steps. I feel like before (especially early 20s) I would have just chalked that up as a hungover morning, feel it right then, then itd be over. I limped around for a damn week before that got any better. It was almost like an omen to be what my 30s would be like:frusty:

I'm definitely showing wounds longer than I did in my twenties. They just don't heal as fast anymore. Body aches more and more now too. The effects of having an active childhood and young adulthood.

I said I’d never go back to Apple, but after buying an iPhone 8 Plus and an Apple Watch 3 I feel a bit like being in an episode of Star Trek lol.

I've never owned an Apple product. I think using the Apple II's in school turned me off. At the risk of sounding pretentious, my opinion of Apple was soured the moment they used a trash can instead of recycle bin.

I couldn't pull the trigger on the X. On Black Friday my carrier had a sale at a certain store that put the 8 Plus to $0 while the X stayed at $600. Given they are exactly the same phone apart from the screen and a minor change to the secondary camera I couldn't justify dropping money on the X.

I think Apple made a huge mistake releasing the X at the same time as the 8 Plus. The X is too expensive for 90% of the market yet it attracts all the attention. I've heard rumors that the 8/8 Plus sales are way down and the X sales don't even come close to making up for it. This could be the first huge mistake since Jobs left/died.

Dude I was exactly the same way. Work forced me to get a 3GS and I hated it, I bought a 5 when they came out since Android wasn't mature and it was one of the ones with a defective battery from out of the box, and in general I hate the arrogance/elitism that Apple and their fan base tends to give off. That being said the 8 Plus absolutely stomps the competition speed wise and does it while being more power efficient. After playing with one... I had to buy it lol.

I agree with you my dilemma was no 8+ was in stock color an memory size I wanted this one was. The price didn’t sway me I tend to keep phones for a while I would still have the 6 but I broke it. I must say though the new screen to me it worth it I’m not oggeling my wife’s S8 screen brightness anymore.

What's funny is I came from an S7 with an amoLED screen. While the colours are truly awesome from those screens the bleed through when reading on a white background drives me nuts. Samsung almost has it fixed but I still saw pink lines when I played with the S8+ and V30. In the end I'm happily going back to the LED screens for a few years until the tech catches up.

I'll be stuck with this phone for a while. Due to the discounts and how the new contracts work up here I'll get raped in the ass if I try to get a new phone before the 2 year deal is up.

I will say though that the X is a huge step forward... but I think Apple should of held it until April when the Samsung S9 will come out. From a marketing stance it would of made a lot more sense.
