So the 255/80R17 WildPeak AT3W I am currently running does not actually exist, as well as the other A/T's I cross-shopped/compared with?

    Interesting. Good to know.

I know it probably doesn’t help but I am running 315/70/r17 which is equivalent to a 35/12.50/r17 but I get 13-16 mpg on stock gears (for now) but i personally didn’t notice too big of a difference from stock other than breaking and pickup

Light, tall skinnies do exist, but I think/know that the sidewalls are less durable than say, ko's. Might not be a deal breaker if OP is not airing down to go through rock gardens.
I know OP is looking for a 32 or 33" did, so obviously 215's are out of the question, but the Destinations are offered in a number of sizes. I've been happy so far, just waiting for some big snow. They are quiet and grip well in the rain. They are also under 60lbs when mounted on Toyota alloy rims.

I ran destinations for a few years. Very under rated tire as far as highway and snow driving. Quiet and great on corners. I would not trust them aired down though. They just are not made for it. At least in my opinion.

My thoughts exactly. They have 3 ply treads and 2 ply sidewalls vs 5 and 3 for BFG KO's. They are excellent for "softroading" and fire roads, but give up little in regards to mileage or handling. Good jack of all tire.

yes was hoping for 33" but willing to go with 32" is it kills my acceleration, breaking and mileage.

Do people not notice a negative effect from bigger tires because they mostly drive automatic?
In an automatic, you simply close your eyes, shove your right foot down on the skinny pedal on the right, and it does everything for you. There is no effort involved. I don't know how each specific gear ratio within the AT trans is, because that also makes a difference.

Whereas if you drive manual, if all of a sudden you gain weight in the form of tires, there's many ways it will force you to notice.
    1. It will slip the clutch more trying to get it going
    2. You will have to rev it out longer/higher RPM, to go the same speed as you did before. If you drive manual on stock or near stock tires, like 6mt 4L, then you may shift at 2200rpm and never go above that. Then with big heavy tires and no regear, you'll find yourself having to rev higher than that just to drive, entering the territory of burning more gas.
A turbo car can get 25mpg whether you beat on it or not. I've noticed with the Taco 4L engine, it is normal below a certain RPM, but the second you exceed that, it's Goodbye Gas Tank. Like if you've ever revved high to move fast, even just one time. Or do a donut on dirt. You've probably gone right after that "wow, the gas gauge needle just went down" when otherwise if you'd not have done that, it wouldn't have
kinda makes you not want to ever floor it

Or, even low RPM. On stock tires, I knew how low I could bring the RPM, without lugging it. It could still rev up without having to downshift.
But on bigger heavier tires? No longer possible.

I had a '92 yota 4x4 pick up, 3.0 regular cab 5 sp manual, it was more gutless running 32's than my 2.7 auto running almost 33's

The 3.0 liter Toyota had all the power of their 4 cylinder with the fuel economy of a V8.

Yes Toyo Open Country AT3 325/75/16. They were hard to g eat ahold of at the time, enkei has pretty high demand like the volks. I would probably not go gunmetal on magnetic grey, titanium gold would look great. They're more of a subdued bronze when dirty lol

I just put on Kenda Klever RT 33x10.50r17 a couple months ago. I had 265/70r17 Duratracs before that, which were great also. There is a noticeable change in acceleration and I'm about 2mph off on the speedo. But it isn't horrible. In my experience these trucks don't like cruising at 80mph no matter what size tire I have had on it. I usually stick to 70mph or 75 at most. I have HPTuners which helped a lot and I recommend it for anyone thats annoyed with throttle response or the factory trans tune.

I have zero rubbing, though I am lifted (without UCAs at the moment). But since up travel is still the same and fully stuffed stock vs lifted I don't have any rubbing I would say most people would be fine. I have seen some people say these fit on a stock truck with no lift and no rub since they are more narrow than a 285. 10.50's are essentially a 265 width BTW. They make these in a 35x10.50 too which some people have ran with no rubbing on a 2" lift!

This is the best picture I have with these tires. I'll get more eventually.

Just to give you one more opinion...
I'm running 285/70r17s (KO2s) on Fuel wheels with a 2" lift but no bumpers or anything else. I've got a wedge camper and full camping build in the back, so it's probably got 700lbs on the rear axle on a regular basis. I ran stock gears for two years with no complaints. It revs high going up hills or in to the wind on the highway and it's not fast off the line, but it's a lifted truck! Just got it tuned and that fixed the high revving and acceleration issues.

I do plan to switch to a tall skinny when these tires are done, but that's just because of the MPG and traction benefits. I also personally prefer the look of tall skinnies.

Thank you! Did you have one too? I had one back in the early 2000's, 91 NA 5spd (last 7 of vin 0000535). Sold that long ago and came across this one randomly at a dealer across from a salvage yard I was going to for parts for my old beater Subaru Outback. This one is also 91 NA 5spd (last 7of vin 0000939) and same color but it has power windows!! lol I'm ok with it being NA since I don't want to deal 90's turbo car problems and a Turbo Mr2 in this condition is $15k+ and none within 500 miles of NW IA. This one will never leave my possession until I pass it on to a child. My plan is pretty basic suspension and a 2GR swap. The 2GR makes 310-325whp NA (w/o cams), potential to supercharge it using the Lotus Evora supercharger (not cheap though), revs past 7k (some rev to 8k!!!), lighter than the 3sgte and same as the 5sfe, insanely reliable, still get 30mpg, pretty reasonable total cost ($8k-ish) when compared to a K swap ($6k average) or gen 5 3sgte ($5k average) and they sound AMAZING!!! If you've ever heard a Lotus Evora exhaust, thats what it sounds like.

As for the 33's, they have been great so far. I haven't encountered snow yet since I put them on mid summer. But a local Tacoma guy has them said they are as good as any tire he has used, he has close to 300k on his so he has been through a number of tires. They do affect acceleration though, I think it's more due to the weight than the diameter. The Kenda's are roughly 58lbs vs the 265/70r17 Duratracs 115SL were 45lbs. The FN Six Shooters are 20.5lbs, so that keeps weight down. But at almost 80lbs per corner (320lbs for all 4) it does make a big difference vs 65lbs per corner (265lbs for all 4). Also when going to a 33" tire (whether it's this one or a 285) it's a good idea to match the spare tire since there is about a 2.5" (265/70R16) overall diameter difference.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-33”-tire-option-and-might-avoid-cmc.628703/

Driving characteristics of the Kenda 33x10.50r17 vs 265/70r17 Duratrac 115SL. This might get a little wordy, sorry. lol
    - More throttle input for normal acceleration or on ramp merging. But it's not that bad.
    - Highway cruising, looses speed more quickly going up grades but once it downshifts its all good.
    - I recently towed my dads 5x12 single axle V-Nose enclosed trailer with a 7'8" (6' interior) overall height (pretty dang tall compared to most, Stealth Mustang 5x12SA) with about 800-1000lbs inside/apx 2000lbs total and it was mostly 4th gear staying at 70mph. If I stay at 65 mph it will stay in 5th depending on load, elevation changes and wind. I floored it to pass someone with a slight headwind and it took a LOT of time to go from 65mph to 75mph, not sure it would get much more than that. With the Duratracs it would accelerate much better, but by no means great. Though I will say the wind resistance with this trailer is quite bad despite the V-nose. With the Duratracs I pulled a UHaul Auto Transport trailer with an 01 Outback (about 5500-6000lbs total) and I was able to maintain 70mph pretty easy.
    - Handling and braking hasn't noticeably changed IMO.
    - Only mods I have are 6112's/5100 B110 with OME Med Leaf springs, stock gearing, no CMC or trimming, and HPTuners tuned by JustDSM. The tune is worth every penny no matter if you are leaving it stock or modding out to the hilt. The most noticeable changes are with the transmission tune and throttle input. It truly drives how it should have come from Toyota.

I would love it if Kenda made the 33x10.50r17 in something other than an E load rating so the weight wouldn't be as ridiculous. But maybe they have to be E load for the taller side walls, I dunno?

Yes. I had a red 86 Mr2. My friend had a red 90 or 91 Mr2 5 speed. I drove his halfway from NY to Panama City Fla for spring break back in 93. Such a great trip. Gas was cheap, weather was hot, girls were hotter. My friend also met his wife on that trip. Today he is still married with 3 kids. Don"t ever sell it.

    Thanks for the reply,
How did you go about tuning your truck?
Truck looks great, are those wheels 9" -12 offset? are you happy with the amount of wheel poke?
