I read several threads on mounting 33" spare tires, but I did not see any, where I could mount the tire flat in the bed. Looking for options where I can do a flat mount. Thinking members might have come up with some creative ideas or cheaper routes vs. bulky mounting hardware.

    Appreciate the feedback. Txs

seen several with a strap set up.....Is there a concern about the strap getting cut or is spare tire theft not common among the members?

You could always just lock it up, while its straped down. At the end of the day if someone wants your spare they wil get it regardless of how you have it mountd....som of bitch thieves

Cable lock makes stealing a little harder.....I now have the tire up against the shovel so I can use the rear space when needed. Add extra d-rings to the bed bolts and use 2 straps in an X when offroad so it doesnt come loose!
