If TOYOTA is offering a 3" lift, then you will get a cheap 3/2" Spacer Lift. If they offer the 2/1" TRD Lift, you will be getting the better 2" adjustable Bilstein shocks.

If you end up going with aftermarket UCAs it will benefit you, otherwise you should be able to do it on stock UCAs

    Like, so many.
I'm on a 2.5 inch lift running 33's. I did the CMC, and Pinch Weld. I think I have room for 34's, but that's getting pretty close to needing a re-gear. I've got a tune and the 33's run just fine even with some additional armor.

Bilstein 5100 set at the top with a 1/4 spacer for taco lean. It gives me 2” in the front.

Icon 1.5” AAL in the rear.

I’m on stock OR rims which are +25 offset. So I’m running 1.25” spider traxx which gives me -6 offset. The sweet spot is 0 to -10 offset for 285s

This is all the cutting I had to do and no CMC.

I’ll probably end up on 35” but this is my daily and I have to travel state to state sometimes. So I rather not get into all the stuff I have to do for that until I get a 4Runner.

Based on what everyone has written, I think I will go with the 255/75/17 with the 2/1 TRD lift. Thank you all for talking me down from the 35’s (I got a little too excited and would have been over my head). Hopefully, I will avoid rubbing with this selection.

    35s if money/time isn't an issue, 33s otherwise. Forget 34s

Why did you go with an E load tire? If you're not doing rocky trails, then all you've done is increase the rotational mass of your wheels. You should be able to find a passenger rated tire in a S load that would be sufficient for moderate wheeling and keep the truck lighter.

Toyo Open Country. An excellent tire and they are essentially Nittos, as they are made on the same production line. They are lighter in a 33" passenger rated tire than E loads and they'll likely last longer than you want them. Depends on how loaded down you keep your truck. I had front and rear bumpers, a winch, a roof rack, so bare that in mind. E loads will fit your truck in a 33, but you have stout sidewalls (10 ply) that give you a rough ride and a big hit in mpg due to the increase in rotational mass. They are often used on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks for a reason. My suggestion would be to find out the curb weight of your stock wheel and tire; then try to stay as close to that as possible when making your decision.

I had a '14 Taco and put 33" KM3s (E Load) on my truck. Looked great... It felt like a tank. I reserved the KM3s for only offroad use, as the tread did make a difference in mud and hills.

Saying all that, I had been running 33" Toyo Open Country tires for city driving, moderate wheeling and my truck felt like a jack rabbit comparatively speaking. If you look up the tires you like, most websites will show the dimensions and weight.

    I run 265/70/17sl rated. I didn't see a 255/80 in an Lt or sl rating. I see a 255/70 but my 265/70 is bigger.
