    Looks great, man! :thumbsup: Are those tires 33 or 285s?

    @sblspawn
    285 so 32.8. so yeah..33s. less of a mouthful. And thanks!! I am happy with how it turned out. Now just waiting on the sliders from @Mobtown Offroad (I ordered them 13 weeks ago so they should be here anytime, fingers crossed) so that I can get the Nfab step bars off of it.

    My YJ is getting jealous, I haven't been spending money on it lately.:rofl:

    One of the few things I miss about my Ram 1500, the Hemi didn't even notice when I put on heavy ass 35x12.50r20.

    Ok guys! If anyone here is looking to upgrade to 285/75r16 for a reasonable price, I want to suggest the Ironman All Country. After many weeks of research, I found that the Ironman A/T is made by Hercules and Hercules belongs to Cooper. Yes, they are made in China, but with very high quality and under Cooper's supervision. All reviews, comments and Information that I found online about these tires are positive. If you don't really off road that much, these tires could be a great option. I bought a set of 4 tires from this seller on Ebay for $479 + taxes. The seller has good feedbacks!

    Is a supercharger enough to negate the power loss of 33s and mucho armor?
    My wallet and I are under the impression it is.

    @ItalynStylion

    What kind of wheels do you have them mounted up to?

    Lots of people swap out the 61lb oem package (38 tire/23 wheel) and put on 65 lb 285 mudders and 35 lb Moto wheels or whatever and they've now got 100 lbs per corner, more than a 50% increase.

    I'm going 255/85r16 but bought 18lb wheels to offset the extra weight from the tire.

    Did you ever end up regearing? I just added some 33" tires to my 2015 Tacoma and the loss in power is noticeable. God forbid I would have gotten Load C or D tires.

    You havent noticed a difference? You must have paper wheels that weight nothing then because I noticed the moment I went to P285/70/r17 Falken Wildpeaks.

    Sadly, not yet. But I have no plans to ever get rid of this rig, so it will eventually happen... along with lockers and new front coilovers :)

    I have 33s on my dclb 4x4, I noticed a pretty noticable drop, but that's mainly if you are really hammering down. It was definitely a larger noticable power loss than when we put 33s on my wife's GX470.

    I've never driven a taco with out 33s, but ya my trucks not very fast, but I never really want it to be. I'll never go bigger than 33s but I cant really afford a regear

    I have that size too. Dick Cepek Extreme County tires on 3rd gen 16” TRD Pro wheels. Will be re-gearing/lockers in the next 6 months.

    It took me a while to see the light but I’m glad I went to 33’s. My truck is not daily driven and will be a camping/off-roading rig. It’s pretty heavy once all loaded up so that’s why I’ll be re-gearing and have no regrets.

    Is it the weight of the tire, or size that causes the need to regear?
