That may very well be true, I'm just speaking to what I've read around here from people (anecdotal). I doubt I'll own a pair of each to be able to compare myself

I wouldn’t be concerned about gas mileage but I drive a lot and a few mpg makes a huge difference when you drive 30k + mi in a year. Not expecting it to get fantastic mileage, I just don’t want to have a truck that is really bogged down by large tires that also gets 13mpg.

As far as suspension goes almost all my friends run icon and I like the ride. Was just thinking about giving king a try, I’ve heard a lot of good things.

Thank you for the replies! 4.88s are seeming like a good option.

    18-19mpg

    Stock suspension, mostly highway driving.

Honestly don’t see a need to regear, yet..

OP is talking about regearing for larger tires, not stock.

Ive got 33s on my 2012. As long as I keep it below 60 mph the gas consumption is tolerable, any faster than that and I burn through faster than I like. I also have a Honda I drive back and forth to work most days ( 30 miles one-way) so mph mileage in the Taco isn't really a concern for me.
