    alright y'all, here's the skeevy...

i've got a set of 4 33'' bfg all terrains on my rig at the moment. i own another set of 31'' bfg's on toyota rims, so it'd just be a swap.

i'm taking a 2 hour drive this week, i'm wondering if the fuel mileage gain will be that noticeable... i know my speedo might be a lil off, but what i'm mostly concerned with is the diff in gas mileage

    any takers?

    getting there....
going from the 33 to the 31's will make mileage go up a bit i think, since the 31's wont be as heavy. go for it......let us know the results man. are the 31's on steelies or alloys........and same for the 33's??

You've got 33's on now? Did you have the speedometer recalibrated to the 33's? Did you change your gearing? IF NO - and you still have the factory gears - then with 31" tires, the speedo and distance will be correct/more accurate.

I'm wondering how you figured out your gas mileage with the 33's - and how you'll compare it with the 31's.

How do you know your speedo is correct (with 33's)?

shoot man, i live in california... lol

seriously tho, there's a "this is the speed limit, and this is your speed" sign i pass all the time. it reads the same as my speedo. not to mention the tests i ran when i first bought the truck. comparative driving... you know.
