What’s the lowest height able to fit 33s? I’m ordering some ome springs for my 5100s I got for free (f’ it I’m going back from full LT). I have a UCA and the ability to caster forward due to my prerunner bumper so rubbing in the rear won’t be an issue.

Coming off from 2.5 RR adjustable Icons that replaced my LT cause I grew up and icons feel like horse manure. I want something simple, good, and cheap again.

That being said, could I get away with 885s which would give me 2-2.25” or 887s at 2.25-2.5”?

I don’t know how the bumper will affect the springs (it’s around 50-70lbs).

How I sit today with icons. I’d like to be around the same height maybe even slightly lower. This is truly a demoralizing thread after coming from LT...

pretty much I just want to clarify if 2885s would work.

    Thank you,
Love, the not so LT guy anymore

You can fit 33s with no lift if you wanted to.

For sure, just don’t want them smacking the top of the fender well while lightly wheeling lol

I got you, I wasn’t meaning to sound like a smart ass if I did. At one point I had 285s with no lift and no trimmed fenders. But the only off-roading I was doing at the time was like dirt trails.

I’ve always thought about doing LT but never have, I’d be interested to hear more of your perspective of why you got rid of LT. beautiful truck btw.

Yeah I got what you meant! The main reason was that I had a really bad accident that made it really hard to confidently off road like I wanted to with the LT. Others were the maintenance costs, always having to replace heims and bushings, the constant things always going wrong, the inconvenience of being able to work on the truck myself, the wideness that robbed me of mpg, and just my greater interest in wanting to road trip/camp more. At the end of the day I’d rather get a sxs or a dedicated already built truck instead of LT cause it’s too much money and hassle for what you get unless you’re adept at doing everything yourself or you get crazy deals. Anyone who’s paid the full prices of everything is lying if they say it was worth it IMO.

I really appreciate your point of view thanks. I’m mostly into easy off-road trails and camping, but looking at all the LT builds makes it so enticing! I’m sure my truck already does almost everything I need, and wouldn’t be worth the money in my case.

as far at the 33s I would think even with a 1-2” lift you wouldn’t rub the fenders. I have about a 2” lift but 34s rubbed a little, only with extreme flex. So I trimmed fenders. It also depends on how far out the wheels are I suppose.

Yeah LT always looks super insane and it’s fun to have and drive around but it’s just not right for some people lol. What setup are you running coilover wise?

I have 5100s with eibach coils it was more than 2” but I have front/rear plate bumpers, and sliders. My fenders are trimmed so my best guess is around ~2” lift in the front haha
    Rear is just an AAL.

Yeah I think I’m gonna get the ome 885s cause they estimate around 2.25” with DCSB 4x4, and I have the bumper so it’ll end up somewhere in the 2” zone. Those eibach ones are nice but I don’t have enough weight for the 700lb spring lol. I was thinking of ome 887s but that would probably make everything too stiff. In general the higher you go, the worse you drive so I’m trying to stay as low as I can. I have the ability to caster which imo means better handling so I’m good for rubbing.
Clean setup man, sick you can run stockish! As I said I had LT with 33s (so much room) so it feels weird being so foreign to this discussion I skipped in my journey upwards lol.

thanks for your help you guys!
