I have 33x12.5x16 with stock UCA's and 3" lift and I haven't hit the body mount yet, even offroad, though I don't jump my truck either when I offroad.

If I had aftermarket UCA's I would hit the body mount.

Rims are 16x8" backspacing is 4". Had to trim the front up and the back a bit but works good.

Depends on your backspacing and to a lesser extent rim width, As well as stock or aftermarket control arms, what your alignment is set to (castor) and the brand/make/model tire can make a small difference too, since all brands are not always the exact same specs, even though they are listed as being the same tires.

My 9" XDs do contact in the mudflap area on the right bumps. I removed the mudflap and did a tiny bit of trimming (1" triangle on the painted part of the inner fenderwell) and it's mostly a non issue.

Aftermarket UCA's correct your alignment/castor. Correcting the castor gets rid of the wandering on the freeway, which is achieved by moving the tires closer to the body mount.

You're gonna rub. These are about an inch wider than 285s, and 285s usually rub.

Cab mount chop will be a MUST if you wheel it. On road only it probably won't be an issue.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
X2 i have 33x12.5x15's on my 1st Gen and I'm good on the road after the pinch weld mod. But off road is a another story I'm planning on tubbing my front wheel wells about an inch to give me the clearance off road that I want.

Why would I nneed to trim more then 285s. Its only an inch wider not taller. The only problem I would have is it touching uca?

Wider rubs on the cab mount my wheels are WIDE! and when I'm at full lock I have less then 1" of clearance in the wheel well.

This is the amount of clearance i have at full lock so if I go up a curb at full lock I rub.

And your rim size mine are 15x10's with 4.76" back spacing and a -44mm offset and it puts my tires out of the wheel wells at least 3 1/2"

As you can see in this shot how much further they stick out past the factory mud flaps.
