I am going to run 10.5's at the most. My biggest concern is keeping stock 16's and get 255/85 or get a new 15'' rim and run the 33/10.5's. I want 15'' rim but then you can only get C rated 6 ply tires. Does anybody have any comforting words here? I dont want to be getting flats, that would be lame. My 10ply bfg a/t are pretty bad ass, cant convince myself to step down... yet

a 6 ply tire is more then enough for our trucks. We aren't nearly as heavy to begin with as most trucks.

That is a very good happy medium. You get the wider stance without the rubbing issues...

Wheelers has made a 15'' rim for the 96.5-04 models. Im looking into them. There are others Im sure. The OE 15'' that was stock for (i think 96-00) tacomas might work. I know Ive seen em on an 01-04.

actually all tacomas came with 16s, onlyl 95-96s and some 97s came stock with 15s for the most part.

you can run a 15'' rim tho, you just need the correct back spacing to clear the caliber

When my brother bought his new 2000 TRD 4x4 it came off the lot with the same split 3 spoke wheels that every other taco with aluminum wheels came with. There was no 16" option.

My 33x10.50 KM2's just got here. Going to get them mounted now on black 15x8 wheelers offroad wheels:cool:
