Not at all. That's one reason I work so hard now. I actually see coming from poverty as a positive influence in my life. The trick now is to pass a strong work ethic on to my kids who are growing up in an upper middle class home.

we had it pretty good i guess, never went without neccesities. but my dad farmed and worked a full time job and my mom was self employed for all of my young childhood then worked a full time job from the time i was 12 till i moved out. mom worked mon-fri dad worked feb-nov ha. his full time job was at a farm supply store so when he was busy farming he was also busy (70 hrs/wk) at his job, but alway managed to have a good deal of slack time during hunting season. we never had cable or satelite tv, and i still dont, i didnt get a cell phone till i was 16, and i got whooped when i needed it and i turned out just fine i recon. I know how to do alot of stuff now because i had to, and im thankful for that.

And that right there is the hard part. It's difficult to get kids to appreciate anything these day.

(and yes OZ, this should be in off-topic)
