I’ve had the Toytec Aluma Boss 2.0 with AAL lift installed for a few months. I had it installed originally to maintain a rake. I then went up one tire size to 32s. No issues whatsoever. A couple weeks ago I had the front coilovers adjusted up so that the truck now stands level. After this I noticed a slight vibration, through the gas pedal, about once every second. It only seems noticeable between 35-40mph or so.

I called the shop that installed the lift and they said it was internal CV joint and that Toyota would cover it. Called Toyota and they said they wouldn’t cover it because it’s due to the lift (even tho it’s internal, and I have a diff drop kit installed). They also said its likely just “harmonic” (whatever that means) and if I replaced it, it would likely happen again.

my questions are: is the “harmonics” thing a legit thing? Seems like BS to me.

If it is stress on CV joint, if I adjust the front suspension back down, say .25”-.5” would the reduced stress fix the vibration, or is my CV joint shot?

If I do nothing, what harm will be done?

Has anyone else had issues getting Toyota to cover still warrantied internal parts after a lift?

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. That's exactly what's going on. Now I need to find a shop in Northwest Arkansas that can do this.
