Absolutely zero issues on 33s here on stock rear end.

Are there any aftermarket parts and bling known to mankind that they haven’t strapped to that truck yet? I like overlanding.. errr camping.. too but it looks like a 4wheel Parts catalog vomited all over that truck.

Up long mountain climb on interstate highway with a passenger and overnight bags, 100 lbs in the bed, full skids and sliders, no bumpers, I notice some struggle to find the best top running gear, but that is minimal.

Bottom line on TB interview, 35s need a regear no matter what- even on the gen4. Just because they now fit easy and it is turbocharged, doesn't change the mechanical torque needs.

    Are you AT or MT?

I definitely would not want to run 35s on my truck on stock gears. I’m running 10”x33” tire so it helps with rolling resistance and weight.

I met a dude at the lake with same truck like mine and he runs 35s on stock gears. Says it’s fine but I wouldn’t wanna do that.

I have A/T but 12.2" wide, so I have more fat to move over the concrete.

Good point, I should have specified.

Oh yeah. Wider tire and lower numerical rear end gear ratio in the AT. For off-road only, I would’ve loved to have 5.29 with my tires. Never will happen though :)

Doesn’t lower gear ratio put more stress on the pinion gear?

Add that the new 8-speed trans did not make much difference at the top of gearing on highway with 35s. It is surely better working up through however.

Wish I was getting 15 in my 3rd gen on 35x11.5's LOL. Stock gearing but truck runs decent will be tuning soon, im maybe getting 13.5-14 when calculated on tank size and miles on odometer.

35's on my LC with stock front and rear gearing, 4.11. No issues either. Big chunky Coopers too.

Mines slow enough on 33s haha. But I've got E-rated 35s on my turbo 1st gen, 17mpg hwy still  TBH that's probably got more to do with my Haltech and tuning than anything else.

I'm at 10-11 mpg. It's just my hobby truck so I don't mind the mpg's. Could never DD it though.

My 80 gets 13mpg like clockwork, unless it's towing, then it gets 6... but yeah I put 100k on it from 2017-2023 and now it's retired from daily duty. Got classic plates for it this year and classic insurance.

The miles on the odometer will read less than actual traveled by the % of increase in rolling circumference.

For example with my 265/75-16 tires, the actual miles traveled is 2.9% greater than the odometer reading. Tested with a 100 mile straight line freeway drive with a Garmin GPS vs the odometer.

With 35" tires, the miles traveled will be signficantly more than the odometer displays.

Can confirm that it is intercooled from the 4th gen owners manual, looks like it's water-to-air as well given the coolant capacity specs. Pretty excited about it not being air to air like so many other systems. Of course this can still heat soak, but 4th gen owners can expect far lower average IAT's.
