The OME complete suspension is designed to go with (together or individual components) with stock suspension components. My alignment specs were easy to get caster, camber and toe in factory specs without the use of upper control arms.

The only reason I have aftermarket upper control arms is for the slight increase in travel with the Delta joints.

3" OME lift, SPC UCAs, URD Crankshaft pulley (the red gives more HP)

    That's good to know.

Is there much difference between the first gen and second gen suspension?

I've driven a couple second gen Tacoma's, Sport and TRD OR versions, and they are way smoother than my 99 TRD OR.

Each generation got improved suspension sequentially. From what I understand, 2nd and 3rd Gen components (although not all) swap directly with each other. I'm not sure about 1st gen.

I think front springs are the same, but control arms, spindles, wheel bearings, shocks and maybe rear leafs are different. @CedarPark ?

Black Friday sales are coming. You could get by with 5100s and a progressive aal on the cheap for about 2 inch lift in the meantime while you save for UCAs and springs.
