    I AGREE!!! Run the 35" tires with the 20" rims! I DO and I get more compliments for sure.

    I can't answer the rubbing question, but an increase in tire size WILL increase your ride height. However, going from a 33" to a 35" will only increase your ride height by 1", not 2".

    I know......I've seen the tacos with 35's and they look a whole lot better......but for starters, I'll just go with 33s for now.....it's the part about the rubbing, the cutting and the additional/ significant loss of power that has me backing away from the 35s right now......

    Exactly.

    When you increase the tire size, remember that because the tire is round, you'll be gaining half the increased height on top and on bottom. So below your suspension, which is what will raise you up in the air, will gain half the size increase and then the other half will be on top which will not raise your height. If you ever had a tire with a 2" increase on just one side, you'd have an egg shaped tire and a really awkward ride. ;)

    33s-->35s = 1" height gain
    33s-->37s = 2" height gain
    33s-->40s = 3.5" height gain
    33s-->44s = 5.5" height gain

    Just installed my Pro Comp 6inch stage 2 with helo maxx 6 wheels and trail grapplers 35x12.50. No rubbing thus no trimming had to be done even at full lock. Not sure why I didn't have to as to some other folks. I do have the VSC compatible lift. I only noticed a slight drop in power but nothing that warrants to changing gears. If i was going to 4x4 maybe there is a need to.

    I would assume your tires aren't rubbing because you have a 2011 and your suspension hasn't fully settled yet.

    I used to hate anything over 16's, but the 18-20in rims have grown on me. My next set of wheels will probably be 20in Monsters on 33in Nitto TG. a guy in town has a tundra with 33's on 20s and it looks really good...

    That being said, I like to play around with mine, but if all you do is mess around, maybe a lil mud, low-pro wont be that bad... if you want to play on the rocks, then you will need a lot of side wall... just do what you like... you money and your truck!
