So I’m going to need new tires really soon, currently running 285/70 17. Im trying to decide between 33x12.5 and 35x12.5. Really wanting to do the 35s but not sure how bad the clearancing will be since I’m running a 3.5” kit and also the extra wear on parts compared to 33s. Anyone have any suggestions or personally use 35s with a chaos kit or other 3.5 kit?

Okay so I used to run a TC kit with 35's , I run a full race kit now. It was good. depending on tire and wheel offset. Youll have to clearance the fenders some. And also depending on where the lower alignment cams are its not terrible on the cab, youll have take off the pinchwell in the wheel well on the cab and youll have to cut the cab some and replate or if lazy like me I used a sledge hammer and pushed it back as far as I needed it to. Its easy just take a spring off and cycle it. As far as wear and tear, the wheel bearings will be fine and they are plenty strong. Make sure your front lower ball joints are always tight and using the moog 555 Japanese or OEM ones. And with a larger tire make sure the lower arm bolts are tight or the alignment cams will move on hard hits. I even had to put a tack weld on mine because I was pushing it harder and wacking the alignment out.

Why don't you get the 285/75/17. It's like a 34x11.5r17 so it's a little narrower to help clear the firewall and fenders.
