    Aha no he's not.
Agreed, but most likely this thread is just going to go to shit anyways as most of these do. I hope it doesn't, but we'll see.

OP first noticed the "tire chop" at 18,000 miles. Plenty of warranty left back then.

The OP owns a 16 OR with problems and has a 17 SR too?

Toyota doesn't make the shocks, Bilstein does but I'm curious what kind of offroading are you doing to blow four stock shocks?

Exactly. Mods are cracking down on that kind of stuff and are very liberal with vacations recently.

Unfortunately there's a lot of great stickies that never get read. If people actually read them, there'd be fewer issues.

To be honest, if you had lifted it like you were supposed then the shocks and tires wouldn't be an issue now.

sorry for missing your posts guys, busy with work this time of year, reason for thread is to let people know about these problems before they buy this truck or to keep a eye on their truck. with the list of things wrong with this tacoma getting longer every day i do not want people to have to deal with toyota's lacking customer service like i have had to. like i said before this truck has not seen any dirt except in my driveway and about 100 miles of smooth dirt road near me, and most driving is highway. and it's not just shocks it's power steering pump leak and lets not forget the well known transmission. and with that many problems it's not worth upgrading stuff. this complaining is coming from a guy that has been driving toyotas for 30 years and loves them. and the sales pitch is for the fanboys that think a toyota is the best even when it is a junk. and just to prove i love my toyotas i will be trading for a trd off road 4 runner. and yes i bought a sr 2.7 manual, i am not a troll!!

When did this all start? You are at 38k miles now but why not have it all fixed under warranty? Or did you just discover all the problems when you were outside the warranty window? If that's the case, I'd say you have some really bad luck

Thanks for the warning OP, I'll put this on the "list of reasons not to buy a third gen" which sadly grows every day.
