    Haha, it aint that hard. The welding to make the shifters line up is the most pain staking and frustrating part!

    It will be very customizable, and there are a few zones. Every console will be able to have any variety of these options, and hopefully more, which is why I made this thread.

    In the green you can have a coin holder(requires trimming), a 4th gear lockout, or (insert idea here)
    In the Yellow zone, you can have 1-4 switches (5 if you cut some factory supports), radio charging bays, pockets, cell phone pocket, ram ball mount, or (insert idea here)
    In the blue, you can have a larger/smaller cup holder, radio charging bays, cell phone pockets, more switches, holsters (working on a few ideas), a big pocket, or (insert idea here)

    You give me this thing with no change holder cuz who uses change in 2020... One radio slot, one Glock slot, and that wireless charger you just mentioned and I'll be dancing in circles like Richard Simmons

    There have been a few mentions of making a pocket that fits a Kydex holster, so I'm exploring that route. Also exploring the idea of a "lego" pocket and I'll make custom holders as I acquire access to/ownership of various guns.

    I don’t know how feasible it would be, but look into the Safariland QLS system. It’s basically a fork system with male and female ends. Typically you’d attach a female end to a belt and be able to use a variety of holsters with it. It would probably be the easiest “one-size” solution to the 100+ varieties of handguns people are going to request of you.

    I like it. I could probably print the female end of the coupler directly into the console.

    so I'd suggested a holster previously, and still stand by that as finding a spot for comfortably stashing a pistol that's also safe from problems in the event of a crash w/out drilling holes is a challenge, however, I'd also love to see a simple RAM mount ball somewhere in the mix. I personally find the cupholder useless, and I would not find the coin holders helpful, but if you were to put a B sized RAM ball in either location it'd be left nut worthy.

    Sadly I'm already too far down the path of my chosen switch configuration otherwise those rockers would be right nut worthy.

    {edit} holy crap is the backside of that first rocker a mic holder???!?!? {edit}

    Yes it is. I said it was "deluxe". The fact is, I can over complicate a fart. This was the original idea regarding pistols. (did this is 5 minutes just to show the idea, very rough)

    This is a great idea.

    I would personally bias toward maximal modularity, because my needs change from week to week. You could sell a base unit, and then modules that can snap or screw into place in different configurations.

    While you’re at it, you could replace the entire center console with the same modular base plate, then people can customize the size of their center boxes (or eliminate them completely) depending on what they need.

    Yeah I spied it in the what have you printed 3d thread. Definitely beyond my 3d printing skills at the moment. I'm still trying to setup my new main board.
